Srinagar: The Faculty of Forestry, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), in collaboration with Reviva Denta, on Wednesday organized an Oral Health Awareness Camp to sensitize students and staff about the importance of oral hygiene for overall health and wellbeing.
The programme began with a welcome address by Prof. P.A. Khan, who extended greetings to guests and participants while highlighting the university’s commitment to promoting holistic health among students and faculty.
Prof. A.H. Mughal, Dean, Faculty of Forestry, who graced the event as the Chief Guest, emphasized the crucial connection between oral health and general wellbeing. He stated that maintaining oral hygiene not only improves physical health but also boosts mental confidence and professional demeanor. Prof. Mughal lauded the collaborative effort between the Faculty and Reviva Denta in spreading health awareness among the university fraternity.
Dr. Tahir Mushtaq, Organizing Secretary of the event, expressed gratitude to the Dean and the sponsoring agency for their support, underlining the importance of regular health checkups and awareness drives to enhance quality of life and productivity.
A team from Reviva Denta conducted expert consultations and educated students and staff about preventive oral care practices. The interactive session received an enthusiastic response from participants.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Naseem Geelani, who appreciated the contributions of all speakers, organizers, and participants in making the camp a success.
The programme witnessed active participation from scientists, scholars, and students of the Faculty of Forestry, reflecting the growing emphasis on integrating health awareness into academic environments for the holistic development of youth.
