JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A long-standing orthodontics practice received the highest recognition given to small businesses in New York State.
Hatala Orthodontics recently received the Empire Award.
Awarded by Senator Lea Webb, the honor was given to the practice for its outstanding care and community involvement.
Founded in 1964 by Dr. Peter Hatala, the practice has grown across three generations with Dr. Mark Hatala and Dr. Patrick Scannell.
Hatala Orthodontics is known for going above and beyond for its patients and the community with fundraisers, coat drives for kids, car washes, and more. It is also known for assisting clients with financial help for its services.
Scannell says Hatala Orthodontics’ mission is to provide excellent care while giving back to the community that supports it.
“What we’ve always been about is being part of the community, giving back, being involved. When I first got into this profession and came back here and had the benefit of working with my uncle and my grandfather, the first thing I learned is it’s about more than just teeth,” said Scannell.
Scannell says the practice is so happy to be honored for its efforts. He says Hatala Orthodontics looks forward to taking care of patients for generations to come.
Hatala Orthodontics offers Invisalign, braces, and accelerated treatment for adults and children. It is located at 165 Riverside Drive in Johnson City.
