Hendersonville dentist reopens after 2023 tornado

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two years after their building was leveled in a tornado outbreak, one Hendersonville dentistry practice has cut the ribbon on their second chance.

Dr. Olivia Stovall Wilson, owner of Bluegrass Dentistry, said after the tornadoes in 2023 their building was unrecognizable. That area of Hendersonville took a direct hit in December of that year—she had to park half a mile away and wade through debris the next day.

This week, her practice cut the ribbon on a brand new building.

Wilson told News 2 it’s a fresh start, but also a sense of redemption after all they went through. Between insurance complications, finding an architect and waiting on a building design, Wilson said it felt like a never-ending process. But the new building is better and stronger than ever.

“We’re ready to welcome other people in, dental specialties or med spas, and make it kind of a one-stop shop for dental or medical, just so people feel more comfortable coming to one location versus bouncing around to different specialties,” Wilson told News 2.

The new building sits at the same location as the old one on East Main Street.
